All services at Heftel Studios cost $30 an hour.
Come to Heftel Studios and record your songs. We can do anything from a simple acoustic demo to a full-fledged album with you and your band. We are uniquely set up to accomodate a cappella groups, but would love to do your audio project, no matter what it is!
Record your song in one take or one hundred; we can mix and match pieces of different takes together to create your masterpiece.
We can apply equalization, compression, expansion, gating, reverb, etc. to make your tracks sound good. We can even correct your pitch and timing so that you don't have to throw away that great take on the lead vocal because of one flat note.
Mixing is the process of "mixing down" your song, which may consist of many recorded tracks, into a stereo file that can be burned to CD or turned into an MP3 so you can show it off to your buddies, family members, roommates, relationship prospects, etc. You can also bring in or upload sessions from another studio in ProTools 7 format (or send us some raw .WAV files) and we will mix them for you. If you don't understand what you just read, drop us a line and we'll explain your options in plain English.
This final step in the recording process gives your project a final coat of polish, making it ready for release on CD. We will equalize and balance all your tracks so that the entire album has a similar sound and volume level; we can also maximize the volume to really make it pump or leave in all of your dynamic nuances for a refined recording. We will give you a redbook-standard CD master suitable for submission to a duplication house so you can replicate your album as easily as possible and get your songs out there!
