HEFTEL STUDIOS POLICIES

• Please be courteous to our engineers and other clients by being on time to your recording session. You will be charged from the time your session is scheduled to begin, not from the time you arrive.


• The minimum length of time a recording session can be booked for is one hour.


• If we have negotiated a flat rate for your project, we require a 50% down payment in order to begin work. Payment is due for recording sessions at the end of each session. Payment for the finished product (mix) is due at the time you pick up the product. A late fee of 2% per month will apply to accounts past due.


• If you cancel a recording session with less than 24 hours advance notice, there will be a $40 fee.


• It is your responsibility as the client to obtain permission for any copyrighted materials you may want to use. We will not be held accountable if you infringe copyright.


• The recording portion of most projects is generally less than 50% of the total project cost. A finished project generally also includes editing, mixing (including processing such as EQ, compression, pitch-correction, and volume automation), mastering, and archiving in addition to recording.


• The estimated time of each project varies dramatically depending on artists' musical preparation, the number of instruments, complexity of edits required, the number of takes or mix revisions required, and other factors.
